I'd like these txt-blogs to be Tweets and update my Facebook status, but how? (I don't know why either).

You need to install the Twitter Facebook application:
http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/
into your Facebook profile, then link the two. Here's a step by step:

Be careful you don't double up though - have you got your blog going to Facebook as well?
Have you sorted updating Twitter from your phone? It should send you a text once you have done that, then you just need to reply to it and text-twitters will be enabled.
Ta! I thought you guys might be helpful.
I haven't found an email address to text updates to Twitter, only a phone number. I have got my blog going to Facebook but only once a day and not my status line, the wee untitled posts of my blog are the bits I'd like to also send to Twitter and Facebook status.
The long rambly blog posts would make more sense staying where they are for people who use a feed or being Notes or something. I haven't worked it all out yet.
If you start doing the twitter thing, will the texts to your blog stop... cuz they are a highlight of my google reader experience each day, and I'd have to find out how to keep receiving them as facebook is more of a weekly event for me...

No, no, my vision is that these tiny txt-blogs which I now send to an e-address I will send also to another which would update Twitter and Facebook statuses, because More is Better than Less (or so it was claimed by my economics lecturer).
